Frequently asked questions

Where are you located?

MidCoast Shakespeare Studio is located in Belfast, ME. We are in the Belfast Center (the red and white striped building near downtown), in Suite 118. Entering through Entrance 1 is the easiest way to find us - just turn right once you enter through the double doors and you’ll see our studio (Suite 118) on the right, just after the elevator and stairwell.

What area do you serve?

We serve all of MidCoast, Maine and beyond - anyone interested in theater, Shakespeare, and creativity are welcome here.

Who are your courses geared towards?

We offer a variety of courses and workshops geared towards different groups of people. Our homeschooling program offers classes and activities for children in a homeschooling program, grades 7-12. Our after-school offerings are designed to be a safe, creative space for school children, grades 7-12. Many of our workshops are designed for adults looking to have some fun and practice new skills. Please see specific course descriptions for more information.

Is your studio accessible?

Our studio space is fully accessible. It is on the first floor of the building, with wide hallways and double entrance doors. The studio also has its own accessible bathroom. Both the acting/play space and the audience space is accessible as well.

Can we bring food and drink into the studio?

We would prefer that you only bring water into the studio space. Some of our events offer beverages and snacks, so we ask that you do not bring anything else into the studio. Also, food and drink information for children attending our learning courses will be sent to their parents/guardians prior to a course’s start date.

Are there places to eat and shop nearby?
