Saturday May 10th, will be our in-person auditions for our 2025 Summer Shakespeare Festival!
These auditions will be held by appointment at our Studio (Suite 118 in the Belfast Center). We will also be allowing video auditions for those outside of the MidCoast area.

The Young Bloods
Summer Program–Something feral this way comes!
While our production team for Twelfth Night will be limited to participants 18+, we’re offering a unique, in-person opportunity for teens and tweens in the MidCoast area!
Led by MidCoast founding member Natalie Hebert, we will explore a fully customizable experience for 10-14 year olds who want to be involved in theater this summer. Alongside the Main Stage production of Twelfth Night, we’ll spend our Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays–and the last 2 Saturdays–in July from 10am-1pm immersed in the world of Twelfth Night. Through collaboration with our Main Stage productions team, we will learn about the professional theater and leave with a deeper appreciation for one of The Bard’s most loved plays.
If this opportunity interests you but you are a grade schooler or high schooler outside the targeted age group, please reach out! MCSS welcomes conversations about how we can best serve the Belfast community. We want as many curious theater-makers to participate as possible!
Cymbeline

Shakespeare’s Cymbeline is our first development project. MidCoast Shakes is providing development support to theater artist Chris JM Maloney as he works on an original adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s rarer plays. Catherine Haverkampf is spearheading this project, with studio development and staged readings slated for Fall 2025.
